For a large portion of his life (thus far), Oswaldo lived in a bubble where he thought about the world and envisioned Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Mexico. When he was awarded a full-tuition leadership scholarship from the Posse Foundation to attend Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, his bubble about the world popped. He quickly blew a slightly bigger bubble that included a few more states and a few more countries. Little did he know, his thoughts were still in a pretty tiny bubble. It wasn’t until he returned from the Bucknell Brigade to Nicaragua, an experience that allowed him to learn about grass-roots development and the impact it can have on people’s lives, that he realized how little his new bubble was. He quickly tried to blow a new one but something about bubbles didn’t feel so comfortable anymore. He stumbled along in the atmosphere for a while until he came to realize that bubbles aren’t meant to last forever. He now hopes to pop as many bubbles as he can, including his own.
