Stephanie Paredes
Stephanie Paredes was born and raised in Arlington, VA, across the river from Washington D.C. She attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and received her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering in May 2010. At UVa, she gained research experience while investigating methods for removing arsenic water contamination in the Argentinean province of Santiago del Estero. After spending two years working part time and traveling as often as possible, she moved to Tampa for the Master’s International Program in Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida. After completing the Master’s International Program, Stephanie would like to work in the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector of an international development agency, a governmental institution, or an NGO.
In her spare time she likes to watch football (the soccer kind), attend football matches (a major motivator for her travels), play football, eat spicy food (like vindaloo or thai hot, 10), and lounge on porches and patios. |
