Students in the Field
Zero Credit Class
To assist graduate students doing fulltime internships and other similar activities such as Peace Corps Master’s International and Study Abroad, these students who are away from campus as part of a graduate program’s requirements, the Graduate School, in consultation with various others, has developed the CST-6990 Non-Credit Graduate course. The aim of this course is to allow students to remain active at USF without assessing tuition or fees when they are engaged in long-term, off-campus activities. The Civil & Environmental Engineering department enrolls students in the course every semester while they are in training or service. This course is set for zero credit (with no tuition payment for students) but students will remain in “active status” at USF. The Registrar’s office has agreed to allow these students to be considered fulltime so if they have federal loans this will not be disrupted.
Students cannot use this course to substitute for other required credits and you cannot take any other credits (research or course) while you are enrolled in CST-6990.
