Duncan Peabody

Duncan Peabody was born in Chatham, NJ, a small suburb near New York City. The town is pretty boring. His childhood was relatively uneventful. After High School he went to Baltimore, MD where he began to pursue his BS in Engineering at Loyola College. After his freshman year, due to various follies of youth, Loyola College awarded Duncan a one year vacation!

Duncan decided to make the best of his sabbatical and he traveled to Costa Rica and Ecuador where he lived with two different families and developed his new interest in travel and culture. Upon his return he resumed his college career, this time at Lake Forest College in Illinois. The new, more mature Duncan set out to earn his Bachelors in Physics and Spanish.

Along the way Duncan spent a summer working in Seward, AK. He decided he liked the outdoors. The next summer he did Physics research with his advisor in Illinois. He decided that researching physics in a lab for the rest of his life would be depressing (no offense). Nevertheless, he graduated, much to the relief of his parents.

Having graduated, Duncan was stuck at a crossroads. Should he take the adventurous route and join the Peace Corps or be a square and go to Graduate School? In his haste and confusion he apparently typed both options into a search engine and stumbled upon the Master’s International program. Now he lives in Tampa, FL. He never saw it coming.
