Nidhi Shah is pursuing environmental engineering at USF. She completed her undergraduate studies in biotechnology from India. After graduation, she worked on a project focused on sustainable cosmetic products with Loreal India. With this experience of learning about how sustainability is important for our welfare, she decided to pursue her graduate studies in environmental engineering. It has been an exhilarating experience to learn about the interdisciplinary connections with her surroundings. She is very excited to start her research study related to prevention of lead leaching in hand pump systems used in Madagascar.
In her free time, she usually enjoys cooking, loves to travel, and go for hikes. She is a trained Indian classical dancer and has a knack for preparing dance pieces on various music.
